High school students don't have to guess if the University of North Georgia (Â鶹ÊÓƵ) will be a fit for them. They have a chance to learn more about Â鶹ÊÓƵ's campuses from current students, faculty and staff at Nighthawk Preview open house events throughout the month of March. These events are set for:

March 7: Oconee

March 21: Cumming

March 26: Blue Ridge

March 28: Gainesville

Registration is available for each of these events on the .

Â鶹ÊÓƵ held its Dahlonega Campus Nighthawk Preview in February.

Previous attendees have commented on the welcoming and informative nature of Nighthawk Preview, as well as how it allowed them to gain a better understanding of their potential campus.

Christopher Bryan, senior director of undergraduate enrollment, is grateful for students to be able to learn more about how Â鶹ÊÓƵ can serve them.

"Through the power of our five campuses, our 20,000-plus students are able to get the feel of a small institution and one-on-one attention with professors that they couldn't get at a school of a similar size on one campus," Bryan said.

Nighthawk Preview provides high school students and their parents information about admissions, student involvement, financial aid, student services, and more. They get to meet current Â鶹ÊÓƵ students, explore majors at the academic showcase and take a tour of campus. Attendees get to choose their own schedule and learn about the information that matters to them.

Katelyn Smallwood, a junior from Canton, Georgia, pursuing a degree in psychology, attended a Nighthawk Preview when she was in high school. It further cemented her desire to attend Â鶹ÊÓƵ.

"It was good to see other people who were in the same boat I was. I didn't know a whole lot about the college journey," Smallwood said. "I attended a bunch of info sessions, and I really liked talking to the tour guides. They helped me understand what my next steps might be."

Smallwood has plugged in with college ministries and said she's grateful for how easy it is to make connections at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. She recently shared about her Â鶹ÊÓƵ journey at a Nighthawk Preview event and couldn't help but reflect on her growth since arriving at the school.

"Â鶹ÊÓƵ has given me a new confidence that I would've never had," Smallwood said. "The possibilities are endless."
