Night at the Braves returns Sept. 9
The third annual University of North Georgia (Â鶹ÊÓƵ) Night at the Atlanta Braves is a chance for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to gather for an evening of fun and watch the Atlanta Braves play against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The event, sponsored by the , starts at 7:20 p.m. on Sept. 9 at Truist Park in Atlanta. Just over 2,000 tickets are available for Â鶹ÊÓƵ alumni, students, faculty, staff, family, and friends. Tickets cost $22 for individuals and $20 for groups of 10 or more.

The event was initiated by Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alumni Association board members Nick Miller and James Wright just before the COVID-19 pandemic. Having to pivot for safety, the event was first held in 2021 on Sept. 11 when the Braves faced the Miami Marlins.
Designed to engage with Â鶹ÊÓƵ alumni, all proceeds from Night at the Braves ticket sales will benefit the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Alumni Association.
The event is open to students on all five campuses of Â鶹ÊÓƵ and is sure to be a special time for the Â鶹ÊÓƵ community. Members of the Corps of Cadets, Fraternity and Sorority Life and other organizations will be in attendance.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ's sections for the night are 410-417 with cadets specifically in section 414. All tickets are non-refundable and will be distributed digitally to the email address provided at purchase. Children ages 2 and under may be admitted to Braves games without a ticket. However, they must sit in the lap of an accompanying adult. Children ages 3 and above require a ticket.

High school students have a chance to get a big-picture view of Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Corps of Cadets and learn from current cadets at National Leadership Challenge from March 27-29.
Female student leaders recognized, honored
Ten female students and four alumnae were honored at Â鶹ÊÓƵ's 10th annual Women's Leadership Recognition Luncheon March 1. Dawn Hughes Simonton '88 served as the event speaker.
New course develops cadet leadership skills
Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Cadet Leadership Academy held the inaugural six-week Cadet Advanced Leadership Course in the fall for 156 sophomore cadets.
Program preps students to become cadets
Â鶹ÊÓƵ's Cadet Leadership Preparatory Program has 10 students in its second year. The program allows students to see if the Corps of Cadets is right for them.
