Tennis players named All-Americans
Three University of North Georgia (Â鶹ÊÓƵ) tennis players earned All-American honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in 2022. Men's tennis player was an All-American in singles, while the women's duo of and received All-American recognition in doubles.
Student-athletes who finish in the top 20 of the final ITA singles rankings are All-Americans, while the All-American status is awarded to doubles teams that finish in the top 10 of the final ITA doubles rankings.
Additionally, Â鶹ÊÓƵ had multiple recipients of the Division II ITA regional awards.
Head coach was named the Wilson ITA Women's Coach of the Year for the Southeast Region after leading the Nighthawks to a 15-win season and a fifth consecutive NCAA appearance. The Â鶹ÊÓƵ women's tennis team also tied for the regular-season Peach Belt Conference championship.
Additionally, on the women's side, was selected as the Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship recipient while her teammate Jorge was named the ITA Southeast Region Senior Player of the Year.
On the men's side, seniors and were honored with regional awards. Waldow was selected as the ITA Most Improved Senior while Gaskin earned the region's Senior Player of the Year distinction.
McGill takes reins as brigade commander
Grace McGill has been named Corps of Cadets brigade commander for 2026-27. She is also a captain on the Â鶹ÊÓƵ women's soccer team.
Softball team bounces back into Super Regional
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ softball team tallied four wins in a row after a loss in its NCAA tournament opener, setting up a May 21-22 home Super Regional matchup with Francis Marion.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ softball team secured its first Peach Belt Conference tournament title in three seasons and will be the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional.
Baseball team earns NCAA tourney bid
The Â鶹ÊÓƵ baseball team has earned a spot in the NCAA Division II tournament and opens the event against Francis Marion at 2 p.m. May 14 in Tigerville, South Carolina.
