Le Belle Voci performs at annual state conference
The Le Belle Voci women's ensemble at the University of North Georgia (Â鶹ÊÓƵ) performed in October at the Georgia Choral Directors Association (Ga-ACDA) annual conference.
It was the first time Le Belle Voci received this prestigious honor, Dr. John Broman, director of choral activities and professor of music at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, said. Ga-ACDA is a nonprofit professional organization for choral directors.
The performance exposed the 19-member ensemble to choral directors from colleges and universities across Georgia.
Le Belle Voci features 15 to 20 Â鶹ÊÓƵ students and a few community members. Each singer goes through a rigorous audition process, must sight-read music and have previous singing experience. The group rehearses twice a week and receives one hour of college credit.
