Chamber Choir
The University of North Georgia Chamber Choir is a new auditioned ensemble that represents the rising standard of vocal excellence at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.
Comprising 20 to 25 select voices, the group specializes in the performance of advanced mixed choral repertoire, spanning diverse genres and historical eras. Though it serves as a vital training ground for vocal performance and music education majors, the ensemble is a reflection of the university’s academic breadth, welcoming talented singers from various disciplines across the campus.
Despite its youth the Chamber Choir has experienced a remarkable evolution. In a short span of time, the ensemble has transitioned from a project-based chamber ensemble meeting only 50 minutes a week into a sophisticated group of musicians characterized by its technical precision and emotive storytelling. Its rapid growth is a testament to the dedication of its members and a shared commitment to artistry.
The Chamber Choir is open to all students by audition (the ability to sight-read is a must) and may be taken for 0 or 1 hour of college credit.
