Filmmakers Robyn Hicks & Zahra Irannezhad will discuss the art of editing as discovery in their 鶹Ƶ Faculty Undergraduate Summer Engagement (FUSE) supported documentary project on Sybil Rosen. Although an Emmy award-winning writer, playwright, and actress, Sybil Rosen's work remains largely unknown, and this presentation offers an introduction into an extraordinary life outside the lens of celebrity and through the pathways of song, art, interviews and archival footage. A space of critical film and media discussion for faculty, students and 鶹Ƶ Community, the Scholars Symposium brings speakers for 30 minute presentations on a variety of topics across the field. All presentations are followed by a Q&A with the speakers.
