How did you hear about your internship?

I heard about the internship with Rafa Nadal Academy through a teammate who had experience with multiple tennis academies. Based on his recommendation, I sent my resume to almost 10 different academies. I had four interviews, and I accepted the first offer I received because it was a great opportunity and matched what I was looking for.

What has been the most valuable (or favorite) part of the experience?

The best part of the experience was working with people, spending my days outdoors, practicing a sport I'm passionate about, and being paid to do something I genuinely love. We received specific training on both the content and the best way to communicate that knowledge to the students, and at the same time, I learned a great deal from the material myself. We built an excellent team, and everyone treated me very well. It was ten weeks of hard work on the courts, often in very hot weather, but it was an incredibly satisfying and worthwhile experience.

In the future, I believe this internship has given me more confidence to communicate with people, both adults and children. It improved my English communication skills, since English is my second language, and gave me the opportunity to use English, Spanish, and French in a professional environment. I also took the opportunity to do some applied work related to my major, Information Systems. I did a project with approximate calculations for the camp business and studied the potential of this business.
